Moto Guzzi V7 Special
The Moto Guzzi V7 was the first motorcycle with a transversely mounted V-twin engine ever produced by the Moto Guzzi factory in Mandello. The "V" clearly refers to the transversely positioned cylinders in a V-shape, set at a 90-degree angle to each other. The "7" represents the combined engine displacement, which was exactly 703.7 cc for the first model.
The Moto Guzzi 700 V7 was first introduced to the Italian motorcycle-loving public in 1965. However, the twin would not be available for purchase until 1967.
